"Really charming and clever way of telling narrative across web." Stuart Cosgrove, Director of Creative Diversity, Channel 4, commenting via 38minutes
The Lost Book was an interactive animated web series to encourage people to read, watch and tell stories. The six-part story was written collaboratively by an online community between January and July 2009. Anyone at all, of any age, anywhere in the world could join the writing team.
The series was a partner project to the Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature Trust's 2009 reading campaign, The Lost World Read. Other partners included the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, online community BookCrossing, the University of Edinburgh and Iowa UNESCO City of Literature. Bestselling novelist Jasper Fforde was a guest writer for the project's microstory competition.
